"The completely upgraded 2.0 version features a novel Control Panel, an improved Real Time Display and a new Alarm Display for effective management of critical conditions. Sound has been introduced to alert the operator and a brand new system configurator, the OptEx Explorer, has been implemented. A most relevant feature is now operative; elementary or complex mathematical functions can now be easily custom-typed for real-time processing of multichannel data, making it possible for the user to introduce computed values, alarm levels based on complex relationship of acquired data, even the instantaneous or specific cost of a given factory utility. Data saving to MS Excel files - already in use in OptEx version 1.0 - remains unchanged as a testimony to its usefulness, while post-processing is made easy by the standard TimEx Add-In."
