MineTools is a collection of tools and utilities for use in the mining industry. It is by no means a comprehensive package, but contains a number of useful utilities that can be used by themselves, or in conjunction with other mining software programs. MineTools is a shareware program, so it may be downloaded, installed and evaluated free of charge, on as many computers as necessary. The software is constantly evolving as more components are added to the program. Utilities for use in mine production control, geology, surveying, sampling and other general utilities are currently either under development or already part of the program. The production control application is used for mine production control and tracking. Using a hierarchical data structure, reports can be instantly generated for any part of the mine, over any period of time, whether daily reports on a single stope or bench, or yearly or monthly reports for the entire mine. Reports can be viewed on screen, or generated dynamically in MS Excel to allow the user maximum control and access to the data, as well as use of Excel's graphing functions. A simple data input interface makes data capture easy.
