DownloadIt is an automated site-grabber and off-line browser. A full database is used to access and store all website information. Html and jpeg, gif and png images can be viewed as downloaded or in offline slideshow mode. Using checklists, links can be previewed and selected step by step, where available thumbnails can be used to select images and gallery pages. Thumbnail selections have been tested on galleries of up to 20,000 images. A proxy server interface is used to transer browser protocols such as referrer and cookies interfacing both with Internet Explorer and Netscape. Offline browsing includes a link editor for modification of absolute url paths to pc compatible paths. A builtin spreadsheet allows generation of ad hoc url lists for directory searching.
