Centralised NT/2000 security event log archiving and monitoring. LANguard SELM monitors the security event logs of all servers and workstations on your network and alerts you if it finds a high security event. This way you will be notified of intrusions in real time. Furthermore, you will have a centralised archive of all security events and be able to identify trends and users attempting to gain illegal access repeatedly. Because LANguard analyses the system event logs, rather than sniffing network traffic like traditional IDS products do, LANguard S.E.L.M. is not impaired by switches, IP traffic encryption or high speed data transfer.
