Scotland Yard is an electronic board on which employees sign in and out. When you run the Employee Detective in Scotland Yard, you'll get a list of employees and their current availability status (in, out, at lunch, in a meeting, and so on). The Employee Detective screen automatically updates every minute. Users receive a DOS version for employees who don't have Windows 95 or Windows NT. If an employee is out, Scotland Yard can create a phone message. The program is now completely customizable. Companies can change the in/out status descriptions and displayed icons to fit their needs. In version 8.1 XML documents are now created on the server for updated date/time. Now you can send message alerts to employee's email, pager, or cell phone. Each employee can now grant selected users to have access to their phone messages. Example: An executive can grant his/her secretary access to his phone messages.
