The Multi-Language Add-in for Visual Basic provides an easy way to create versions of your VB project in alternative languages or to create a version supporting multiple languages. The Add-In scans your project for text strings in the properties of controls and in the source code and presents these in two tables. When you add a language to the project, a new column is added to both tables. You can edit the strings in the table and select which strings in the source code require translation (often only a small proportion). You also can export to and import from an Excel file, for offline input of the international text strings. Particular features include an extensible controls database and runtime support for separately compiled components. The product supports non western character sets. Under Windows 2000, you can enter Japanese and Korean text using an Input-Method-Editor (a far eastern version of Windows is NOT required).
