The TrueData COMponent is designed to provide an effective ring fence around your database to prevent duplicate records being entered at time of data capture or data entry. This can be from human input, external mailing lists being imported, from web entries etc. The COMponent is available with standard dll's for VB or C++, Standard Delphi dll's, ActiveX Control or a VCL Delphi wrapper. The TrueData COMponent uses complex algorithms and extensive data transformation libraries to identify potential matches. TrueData use Phonetic Rules to find similar sounding names such as Leigh and Lee. Soundex technology is unable to identify these records as potential matches. The COMponent also has an extensive Data Transformation Library. This enables the software to know that Robert can be shortened to Bob, William to Bill etc. This increases the ability to identify potential matches such Mr Anthony Dickson esq. and Tony Dixon. The software can also use an initial function that can be used to identify the potential match of B.T., B T, and British Telecom. (Obviously you would link this match to Postcode/Zip or another reference point to be sure that this is the same company). The Data Transformation Library can not only be used to match data but can enhance your data as well. e.g. Ltd. To Limited in Company Name Field, Av. To Avenue in Address field, correctly case data, e.g. town to TOWN in address line. This powerful COMponent will not only increase the accuracy of your data for marketing, reporting or forecasting purposes but will also improve the efficiency of your staff. By using Fuzzy Logic for searching records it ensures that potential misses like Zerox & Xerox are identified. Data entry speed improves as matches are identified very quickly avoiding the time that is spent entering duplicate data.
