"Equator is a free, simple yet powerful control that lets you evaluate mathematical expressions represented as strings. I searched all over the web for something like this, but only found expensive software packages that offered the kind of flexibility Equator provides. Simply feed it a string expression, invoke the Calculate method and an answer appears almost instantly. Basic arithmetic operations are allowed, as well as exponents, parentheses and negative numbers. The correct order of operations is always observed. Complete VB source code is also provided."
