"DocFunctions is a DLL designed to provide developers with an easy means of incorporating proprietary document formats into their applications. Through the use of easy to follow methods and properties developers can add the ability to open and save documents of their own file type (.xxx) to their applications and even create file associations between that file type and their program. When users double-click on documents of that file type your application will automatically open up with that file, and all documents of that file type will have the icon the developer chose to assign to them."
