The RegScrub program helps developers control their Registry entries. When you compile an ActiveX component in Visual Basic, it makes Registry entries. If your component is set to Project Compatibility, then every compile will make more entries. RegScrub will find all Registry entries for a component, which is usually made of several classes. Every class entry has associated TypeLib entries and Interface entries. On compiles, the class entries get overwritten, but the TypeLib and Interface entries do not. After a while the Registry can fill up and, if not "scrubbed," cause problems.
