Olympus ImageKnife/OCX is designed to make it easy to add basic functionality, yet it still allows straightforward implementation of more complex tasks. Use of Property pages lets you get off to a quick start, while custom methods let you write compact and efficient code for performance. ImageKnife/OCX handles zooming and panning for you, and offers automatic scroll bars that appear when they're needed. Panning is fast and can be driven programmatically, as well. You can fit word-wrapped text in an area and write it right into an image, or draw lines, arrows, filled polygons, and so on using the supplied methods. Callback events allow your programs to terminate image decompression or color reduction. This program can also decompress FIF files using the resolution-independent fractal format from Iterated Systems. Its fast 32-bit JPEG can handle grayscale and true color images.
