"The Allen-Martin serial data control amComm Lite provides asynchronous serial data communications for your application, either directly using the computers serial Comm ports, or in combination with amTapi to provide serial data communication over a modem. Of course amComm Lite can be used stand-alone (without the benefits of amTapi) to provide modem serial communication using standard 'AT' modem commands to setup the calls but your application would not have the many benefits that TAPI call control would bring to your application. amComm is upwardly compatible with Microsoft's MSComm control and offers serial data communications at the highest possible speed and reliability and with the added advantage that it can be used with our amTapi control. amComm can handle very high speeds and supports baud rates up to 256,000 with the appropriate Windows communication driver. "Written in C++ using ATL Active Template Library, amComm is lightweight with no dependencies. As an ActiveX COM control amComm can be used in the many development environments that support ActiveX controls, including Visual Basic, .Net, Visual C++, Microsoft's Office products, C++ Builder, PowerBuilder etc."
