"ASTEM97, A Steam Table Evaluation Module, provides the thermodynamic and transport properties (31 properties are currently calculated) for water and steam based on the 1997 International Association for the Properties of Water and Steam release for industrial use. ASTEM97 provides routines to determine the pressure based on temperature and (1) quality, (2) specific volume, (3) enthalpy, (4) entropy or (6) internal energy and can determine multiple pressure state points for temperature related calls. ASTEM97 also provides routines to determine the temperature based on pressure and (1) quality, (2) specific volume, (3) enthalpy, (4) entropy or (6) internal energy. Routines are also provided to determine the pressure and temperature based on the following pairs [enthalpy, entropy], [specific volume, enthalpy] and [specific volume, entropy]. Calculations of Ideal Gas properties and metastable properties are also included. Additional capabilities and features include the calculation of derivatives and access to the reduced properties making it possible to calculate virtually any property. Complete documentation is available for download. The FORTRAN source code and dynamic link libraries are available for separate purchase." Note: With the unregistered version the choice of input units, Copy and Convert options, and Ideal Gas selection are not available. Also, calls to temperature-based and pressure-based functions are limited to specific ranges.
