"This ActiveX control is designed to allow developers to add several functions to their programs to prevent illegal copying. This control can handle the managing and releasing shareware-based products, allowing the programmer to add program time-trial versions, a maximum number of executions, and different types of licenses. It also allows the programmer to create license disks to distribute with the application. All of these features can managed automatically by the ActiveX control, or you can customize the behavior and functionality of the product to be distributed. This control comes with predefined message boxes and dialogs, contains support for English and Spanish, and allows you to customize using your own code. The Serial Tracker 2.20 is also shipped with this control, which allows developers to make licenses files or license disks to distribute with applications. It also lets developers to get the user identification codes that will be sent to the users of the applications, allowing the developer to save information relevant to the registered users.
