CockTail Standard Edition is a Java RAD, GUI Builder, and Java code-generation tool that mixes divergent technologies, such as Java and XML, in an effective way to develop platform-independent user interfaces. The main feature in Cocktail SE is a Visual Basic-style Java Development Environment with a floating toolbar from which you can add components to your design window. CockTail stores user-interface data in XML and has drag-and-drop functionality for adding program components to the design tree. Events coding in CockTail is like Visual Basic and PB. The code written for events can be opened and edited. CockTail generates Java source code that compiles and runs without the need of any proprietary libraries in CockTail itself. Version 1.2 allows you to develop XUL User Interfaces using CockTail SE. This program has a 30-day evaluation period. The cost to register a single user is $99.
