"OptiVec brings the power of vectorized programming to the PC. The largest portion of nearly every program processing numerical data consists of loops. Replacing these loops with the hand-optimized, assembler-written vector functions of OptiVec can speed up program execution and greatly enhance numerical accuracy. OptiVec contains the fully vectorized forms of all operators and functions of C/C++ for all integer and floating point (including complex) data types, plus many other real and complex math functions, such as statistics, analysis, FFT techniques, matrix operations, and curve fitting--in total, more than 3,000 functions. The shareware version is for the memory model Large. The previous version featured faster algorithms for many single-precision math functions, as well as the addition of some extra-fast unprotected and reduced-range math functions. In this version the MatrixLib part has been overhauled and includes many new functions, such as the multiplication of transposed matrices and of diagonal matrices. - object-oriented interface; - documentation now in HTML (instead of ASCII text) - functions for polar-complex vectors - real-to-complex FFT and a few new math functions - free for private and educational use; licence fee of $199 charged for commercial use."
