Compare for Visual Basic allows you to quickly zero in on any procedures and code lines that have been changed. It first breaks each file into procs, and then compares those procs thus eliminating many false matches. The main interface shows what lines have been changed (added, deleted, and unequal) and what lines have not been changed (equal) (see screen shot). It also shows you what lines have not been considered in the compare process (ignored). Some differences can be eliminated, including leading, embedded, and trailing blanks, case, comments, and line numbers (see screen shot). It has various display options and it lets you choose your own display fonts, styles, background and text colors (see screen shot). This demo is a 30-day trial version that allows you to process 10 different files. The full version costs $29.95.
