"Sets version number on VC6, VB6, C# and VB.Net projects so that multiple project builds are labeled with the correct version number. This console-based tool traverses a path for *.RC, *.VBP, *.CS, and *.VB files and automatically updates the version information in them. Put the values that you want to update with - like FileVersion, CompanyName, LegalCopyright, etc - in an INI-file. The FileVersion can be automatically incremented for each build or derived from the current date. The tool also produces a C/C++ header-file that with constants can be used in non RC-file environments, like Linux and OpenVMS, if your system spans multiple platforms. AssemblyInfo.cs and AssemblyInfo.vb can be updated so that only the major and minor version numbers are set and the auto-increment feature of revision and build in .Net compilers are leveraged."
