RedUpdate Developers SDK allows programmers to add live Internet version updating to any program. It can download and install your program updates. If your company charges for updates, RedUpdate can instantly notify all users of your program that an updated version is available. The users can then be brought to your Web site for the update. RedUpdate does not require that any browser be installed. This program fully supports SOCKS (4, 4a, and 5), proxy servers, direct connection, dial-up networking, and firewalls. Included with the SDK is a control panel connection manager that allows end users to configure their own server settings, eliminating all connection programming. RedUpdate Developers SDK has a very simple interface, documented guide, and sample source code for many development languages. The license agreement is per-program (each program that uses RedUpdate will require a separate license). Only one small (166K) file is required for distribution.
